Fibre optics is a technology where a signal such as video, data or audio, is modulated on a light beam and sent down a glass tube over large distances, with very little attenuation and loss. It also offers very high bandwidths compared to copper wire.
Due to the many advantages that fibre optics has over conventional copper wire, ESS regularly install this medium to transmit video, audio and data for use with some of our systems.
ESS carry out all of this work in house without the need to sub contract to specialist companies. ESS owns all relevant equipment to allow splicing and testing of fibre cables.
